Unlocking the value of agreement data at DocuSign

When DocuSign acquired Clause, the small startup where I worked from 2018 to 2021, DocuSign hired our entire team of our small startup. They gave us the opportunity to continue our exciting work, but with the resources of an 8,000 employee company, and the audience of over one million paying customers.

My work at DocuSign involves using high-fidelity mockups to create alignment between stakeholders, including engineers and PMs across multiple teams.

Over the last eight months I’ve been working on a feature for DocuSign’s eSignature product, the company’s most prized asset. I can’t say much about the feature, but what I can say is that it will enable our customers to leverage the vast amounts of data within their agreements. DocuSign is moving beyond eSignature, and finding ways to make contracts and agreements even more useful.

Working on eSignature requires negotiation between many internal organizations and stakeholders to ensure that any new features meet the quality bar of a product that millions of people use. Over the course of this development, I’ve assisted two UX researchers in two usability studies.
